As Kesher continues growing, we continue to challenge ourselves to improve the quality and impact of our programming. However, in order to sufficiently support each of our students, achieve our mission, and most impact-fully educate our students, we need your help.
With your help, we will be able to continue to provide a strong academic education to our students, supporting their personal, academic, and Jewish development.
Annual Campaign for Kesher Newton
It's not too late to donate to this year's Annual Campaign for Kesher Newton. We are so grateful for every donation, gift, and support: it is with your help that we are able to provide a strong academic Hebrew education to our students, supporting their personal, academic, and Jewish development. Any donation, from $18, to $360 or more, will help support our academic programs, grow our Hebrew, Judaic, Arts, and STEM curricula, supply up-to-date technology in every classroom, provide scholarships so more families are able to access our programs, and more.
Below you can find our Annual Appeal Letter for 2020-2021 year. Your donation allows us to make this programming possible; thank you for your continued support to Kesher Newton. **Kesher Newton is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation is tax deductible, and 100% of your donation contribution will go directly to Kesher Newton.**
Every year, around this time Kesher Newton reaches out for help with our annual fund. However, this time is different. This year we are asking for your help addressing the critical needs and extraordinarily expensive cost of Covid-19.
Despite it being a difficult year for all, Kesher Newton has become a respite for its students, and a ray of sunshine during dark times. Our students are speaking in Hebrew, Israeli dancing, engaging in Project-Based Learning, virtual family programming, and celebrating their individual and collective Jewish identities in a way only the magic of Kesher can spark.
We have been extremely lucky to be able to open in-person and remotely, offering our amazing Hebrew/Judaic curriculum. We have also been fortunate enough to be able fill a critical need in our community by helping working parents through our new daily remote learning care and assistance program, Lifnei Kesher.
However, in order to accomplish all of this, we have to spend $52,000 over our annual operating budget during a year when many of our “regular families” had to take a break from Kesher due to their own challenges with Covid-19 realities.
These extra costs are for:
PPE & cleaning supplies
Air quality monitoring
Professional cleaning services to disinfect throughout the day
Smaller teacher-student ratios and new Kesher Online educator position
New big screen TVs, cameras, and microphone in every classroom so remote students and guest speakers can “zoom in” or our students can “zoom out” (we’ve been to California, Texas, and of course...Israel!)
Enhanced WIFI and technology to support the remote learning needs of 50+ students at a time.
Thank you in advance for your generosity in getting us through these challenging times. Your contribution will make sure our amazing Jewish/Hebrew education is accessible to students for years to come.
