Kesher After-School (grades K-5)
K-5 can choose between:
Mondays/Wednesdays
Or Tuesdays/Thursdays
2:50 - 5:45
Wednesdays, there is an option for 12:20 - 5:45
Kesher After-School meets twice a week on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. Students experience game-based modern Hebrew learning, Judaic studies, and fun chugim (electives).
Kesher is sync with the Newton Public School calendar. We meet 2:50 - 5:45 on most days, and offer early drop-off at 12:20 on Wednesdays for Newton/Needham early release days. Drop-off is rolling during Hebrew immersive snack and free time. Classes begin at 3:30.
Kesher Middle School (grades 6-8)
Grades 6-8 will meets weekly on Wednesdays, from 2:50-5:45pm. Students will re-discover their Jewish identities through exploring important times in Jewish history, and answering the question “what does it mean to be a Jew today?” Students will participate in “Talmudic discussions” about hard topics and current events, as well as organize a tzedakah project. Additionally, students will continue their modern Hebrew studies and participate in the Boston-Haifa connection. Students participate in monthly Tiyulim or field trips around Jewish New England!
Monday Middle School Ulpan (grades 6-8)
Kesher Middle School students who want to expand their conversational Hebrew skills can join us on Mondays from 2:50-5:45 for extra Hebrew lessons, practice and chugim!

Location for the 2022-2023 school year
Kesher Newton is excited to be part of a new shared campus of Jewish life and learning at our current location on the Temple Reyim property, which will include Hebrew College, and dozens of other Jewish organizations, beginning in January 2023. You can read more about this exciting project, here.
During the construction period, beginning Fall 2022, Kesher Newton will be temporarily located at the current Hebrew College campus in Newton Centre at 160 Herrick Road in Newton Centre.
